In a tragic incident, a woman died on the spot while a man accompanying her sustained serious injuries after a speedy truck rammed into their two-wheeler vehicle on Saturday afternoon.

The incident occurred in front of the BSF headquarters in Ranigate, on the outskirts of Guwahati.

Meanwhile, the injured person has been rushed to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) in a BSF ambulance under critical condition.

The identities of both the victims have not been ascertained.
