100-Hours ONGC Shutdown from Today

The All Tai Ahom Students' Union (ATASU) has called for a 100-hour Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) bandh starting from September 24 to September 28 in protest against privatization of the oil fields.

The ATSU has called for the shutdown of ONGC from 5 AM on Tuesday. The protestors demanded the establishment of the unemployed youths and that the anti-Assamese policy should be stopped. They also demanded that the company should also withdraw its decision of privatization of oil fields.

The shutdownof ONGC has hampered the normal work as the protestors stopped the employeesfrom getting into the office.
