APDCL Employee Dies Of Electrocution In Hojai

Five days after a casual employee of the APDCL was electrocuted in Bishwanath district on June 26, another employee of the corporation was electrocuted in Hojai's Habaipur on Sunday.

Identified as Joynal Haque of Bhimarali village, the APDCL man was electrocuted while he was working at a high-tension line of 11000 Volts.

The corporation has been accused of the tragic death of Hoque.

The locals staged a demonstration at the accident site when APDCL staff did not appear on spot even after several hours of the accident.

One colleague of the deceased was also attacked by the locals.

He has been identified as Gobinda Mudoi.

The situation was brought under control later by the police.
