Assam: 4 Bangladeshi Nationals Held In Darrang

Four Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended by border police in Darrang district late Saturday night.

They were nabbed during an operation at Kalaigaon Jaberikuchi and No.6 and No.8 wards of Mangaldai respectively, based on intelligence inputs.

The apprehended foreign nationals were identified as Mohiran Begum, Kulsun Begum, Kusumuddin Ali and Zainab Bibi.

It is to mention that the Bangladeshi nationals were earlier declared as 'foreigners' by the foreigners' tribunal (FT) in the Darrang district. They were reportedly untraceable following the declaration by the FT.

As per reports, they later amalgamated with the local population in the Darrang district.

On Sunday, the apprehended foreign nationals were sent to the Tezpur detention camp.
