Biswanath & Lakhimpur Reels Under Flood

The floodsituation in Assam still remains grim and the water level in the Rivers hasincreased for which most of the villages are under water.

In Biswanathalso, most of the villages reels under flood as the water level of GhogoraRiver has increased due to the water which comes from the hills of Arunachal. Around200 families and 8 villages reel under flood in Biswanath. The connecting roadsof Pavoi Balisang and Pavoi Tea Estate have submerged under water.

On the other hand, the Lilabari area of Lakhimpur has submerged under artificial flood. The nearest area of Lilabari Airport has also submerged under artificial flood due to the incessant rain that took place on Tuesday night. The artificial flood occurs due to the blockage of drains in the area for which the police station, schools, houses and roads have been submerged in the artificial flood.
