A body of a 7-years-old minor girl has been recovered from a pond in sinking condition at Juthangbasti region in Hojai district on Monday.

Asper reports, the deceased has been identified as Sumaya Begum. Noticing thebody of the minor girl, the locals of the region immediately informed to Udali Police.

Reportedly police have been reached the scene and started investigation in this regard but no suspected accused has been detained yet.

It has been suspected by the locals and the family members of the girl that, the girl might be murdered after rape.
