Assam on Wednesday reported 639 cases of Covid-19, taking the active count of the state to 7,025. The overall caseload of the state is 5,82,037. The positivity rate is 0.77 per cent.

Further, 1,024 patients have been discharged, while, 15 deaths were reported.

The new cases were registered from Kamrup Metro (109), Barpetaa (65), Golaghat (40), Dibrugarh (33).

Meanwhile, the district wise deaths Barpeta (2), Jorhat (2), Lakhimpur (2), Sonitpur (2), Biswanath (1), Golaghat (1), Hojai (1), Kamrup Rural (1), Morigaon (1), Nagaon (1), Tinsukia (1).

The recovery rate of the state has touched 97.61 pe rcent with 5,68,137, while the death rate of the state has accelerated to 0.95 per cent with a 5,528 fatlaities.
