Don’t Use Zubeen for Politics: Himanta

Pratidin Bureau

Condemning the incident of attack on singer Zubeen Garg on Wednesday night, Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that such an act is really gruesome.

Speaking about Zubeen's active participation in politics, the minister said that he doesn't want to see the heartthrob of Assam neither in Congress nor in BJP. Zubeen should remain as Zubeen, said Himanta.

He further stated that Zubeen should be kept away from politics. "The Assamese community has not even paid respect to Bhupen Hazarika when he was alive and I don't want to repeat the same with Zubeen. No one should use the singer for politics," the minister said.
