India’s First Dinosaur Museum Inaugurated

Pratidin Bureau

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Saturday inaugurated India's first Donosaur-cum-Park in Raiyoli at Gujarat's Mahisagar district.

The museum will exhibit remains of various dinosaurs and fossil records.

This is India's first dinosaur museum and world's third such park.

It may be mentioned here that Raiyoli is known to be the third largest dinosaur fossil site in the world, apart from being the second largest dinosaur hatchery in the world. Over 1000 dinosaur eggs have been found here.

The museum is equipped with modern technology like 3D projection, virtual reality presentations, interactive kiosks and life-size dinosaur replicas.

The Gujarat government has announced to allocate Rs 10 crore to promote the site internationally.
