A Rajasthan man was sentenced to death on Tuesday for raping and killing an 11 year old girl. Judge Ratan Lal Moond in a special court in Rajasthan's Ajmer sentenced Surendra alias Santu to death a day after holding him guilty on Monday.
The 11 year old girl, who had gone to a hill to graze goats, went missing on June 21. Her body was found later on the hill with injury marks. The accused was arrested of June 22.
Earlier, another convict, Dinesh Jatt, was sentenced to death on October 22 raping and killing a seven year old girl Nagaur district of Rajasthan.
On October, another man was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment and fined ₹2 lakh for raping a nine year old girl.
