The Assam government has announced a local holiday in Kamrup (Metro) district, which includes Guwahati, on March 4 (Wednesday) on account of Holi.

As per an official notification, all state government offices and educational institutions within Kamrup (Metro) will remain closed on the occasion. The order also applies to financial institutions in the district.

Notably, Kamrup (Metro) district includes five sub divisions: Guwahati, Chandrapur, Dispur, Sonapur, and Azara.
